About Fabian Zeller
As a crossover artist, the German-Portuguese guitarist and composer combines the southern joy of playing and the emotional intensity of Fado with the profound structure of classical and popular music traditions.
He is in fact a virtuous magician, as not only guitar legend Carlo Domeniconi confirms: “This is the kind of musician the guitar needs.”
Whether as a soloist in frequent demand by orchestras such as the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra with the world-famous “Concierto de Aranjuez”, whether with his solo program, of which the CD “Novo Mundo” was released in 2018, or in projects such as the Duo Resonado or the groove jazz band Flowin Tension – the young artist is gaining international recognition both at highly respected music festivals and in concert halls in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe. Audiences and the press describe his concerts as “guitar fire” (Ostseezeitung).
His compositions are published by the renowned publishers Schott, Acoustic Music and Edition Margaux, among others, and are interpreted by renowned musicians worldwide. He also writes regularly for film and television, including for the Spanish documentary Senda (2022) by Alejandro Martinéz.
Fabian Zeller studied music in Germany and with a DAAD scholarship in Brazil and was a lecturer for guitar and ensembles at the Landesgymnasium für Musik in Dresden from 2021 to 2023 with a teaching assignment from the University of Music Dresden. He is co-founder and artistic director of the “Gitarrenfestival Dresden”.
